On Sunday 16 October, Trafalgar Square hosted a huge Diwali celebration for the 2nd year running. The temperature on the autumn evening may have been cold, but the atmosphere and feelings in the huge crowd were definitely hot. The event was even larger than last year, with well over 20,000 people present. There was great entertainment, including acts and appearances by stars such as Jay Sean, Juggy D, DJ Bobby Friction, Kabir Bedi and many others. In true Diwali style, sweets were distributed generously throughout the crowd. There were also many messages and prayers for peace, unity and a bright future.
