Happy online Diwali to all our readers

Diwali, as all of you are no doubt aware, is the most widely celebrated festival in the Hindu world. In any country which carries a significant number of Hindus there are massive Diwali celebrations. In many cases, non-Hindus are also drawn into the festivities, and as a result Diwali is extremely well known in most of the world.

If you ask most non-Hindus if they have heard of other Hindu festivals - for example Janmashtami, Holi or even Navratri - nine times out of ten you will draw a blank expression. But the vast majority will have heard of Diwali and know it to be the 'Hindu festival of light'.

For those wishing to preserve the Diwali spirit, but are seriously strapped for time, or far away from family and friends, help is available in the form of the internet. The internet has made it easier than ever to bring culture and spirituality into our ever busy lives.

For example, you can send e-cards to your friends and family, find out details of Diwali parties, be guided through the relevant pujas or ceremonies, read the Ramayana, find a temple near your home or even make a virtual visit of a famous temple!

After scanning many Diwali themed websites, the best in our opinion is DiwaliCelebrations.net, which serves to be something like a one stop shop for all your Diwali needs. Be sure to check it out.

We wish all our readers an auspicious Diwali, filled with warmth, joy and divine blessings.
