Re: Seven Wonders of the Ancient Mind

To Hindu Voice UK,

I found the article “Seven Wonders of the Ancient Mind” totally fascinating and a delight to read. Thanks for publishing such an excellent selection of achievements of ancient Hindus. Please publish more similar works in the future.

Unfair criticism of NRIs

Dear Hindu Voice UK,

As a (resident) Indian reader of your journal, I think the picture which the article “Non-Resident Idiot” paints of NRIs is very harsh. I admire the fact that many NRIs undertake vast efforts to promote Hindu/Indian culture that we wouldn’t find anywhere in India, and are as proud and patriotic towards their motherland, if not more, than resident Indians. In India NRIs are always over charged by all and sundry for goods and services, and are often targets of crime, and even this doesn’t dent their feelings towards India.

Response: The article does not talk about all NRIs, rather it is quite explicit when it described suh individuals as being "thankfully a minority"

Shilesh Patel’s sentencing

To Hindu Voice UK,

My heart went out to Shilesh Patel on hearing about him being sentenced to life imprisonment. I know it’s a tribalistic feeling because he belongs to my own community, but I see our people trampled on all the time where I live and every now and again something’s got to give. I don’t condone what Shilesh did, and I feel sorry for the deceased and his family. But at the end of the day, he was involved in attacking someone 30 on 1, and I don’t see how he can be considered totally innocent in what transpired.

Re: Violence in the Hindu community

Dear Editor,

I’d like to congratulate you on once again providing a fresh and level headed perspective on issues affecting our community. The article on violence in the Hindu community is a mature and insightful piece, although I wish it could have been expanded upon. I would like to see people such as yourself representing and leading our community, because you are actually in touch with the ground level, as opposed to the current batch of self appointed authorities.

Thanks

Namaste.

I have no words to express my thanks and gratitude for your magnificent services for the Hindu cause. I am sure that Sanatan Dharma, commonly known as Hinduism, will certainly survive and prevail because of the noble efforts of persons like you.
With thanks and regards,

Is baby formula milk suitable for vegetarians?

To Whom It May Concern,

As a devout Hindu I was suprised to find some very interesting facts about Baby formula milk. Having had my first child my wife and I are now in the process where our young child (4 months Ambika Gauri Sharma) needs to be weaned onto formula milk. Following some research it has transpired that nearly all of the formula milk available are actually not suitable for vegetarians (and in particular Hindu's) as they are proccessed using animal (calf) rennet! The only one which is suitable is made by a company called 'Hipp Organic'. As there will be many fellow Hindus out there unknown of this fact I felt it was extremely important that I raised this with you to investigate further and possibly write about in the next issue of Hindu Voice.

On a seperate issue keep up the good work as it is a fantastic piece of literature.

Kind Regards,
