Swami Ramdev coming to Britain!

Hindu Voice UK, June 2006

For the first time, superstar yoga-guru Swami Ramdev is set to hold a yoga camp outside of India. And the venue is right here in Britain! The event is set to run from 15th July through to 22nd July 2006, and is to be held at the Elmbridge Club in Ilford.

In recent years Swami Ramdev has become a household name in India and has been hailed as the greatest ambassador of yogic traditions since Sage Patanjali. His popular TV show on Sky's Asthaa channel is broadcast in over 100 countries around the world. Amongst his followers one can find the widest range of people, from the average man or woman on the street to movie stars and politicians.

Swami Ramdev was born into a poor family in an Indian village called Kalwa. He contracted a bad illness in his childhood that left him partially paralysed. He used Ayurveda and Yoga to make himself into the remarkable picture of health he is today. Since then he has made it his mission to spread knowledge of these ancient arts, particularly Pranayam (yogic breathing exercises) for the benefit of the world.

The demand for Swami Ramdev to visit countries outside India has grown due to his large international following.
